They buzzed about the building nabbing a coat rack from here, a table from there, and suddenly the flow in our routines, became seamless.
They transformed my loft space from a stack of sweaters, a worn out yoga mat and some mismatched chairs, into my sanctuary. My kids bedrooms from the bare necessities, into a chalkboard wall with room for every friend to welcome them... into their new home.
The kitchen evolved from an office coffee pit stop into a functional space capable of hosting family Thanksgivings, with the guests marveling at just how this might even be possible?
All of this happened back in 2007, and in 2016, I hired them to help me "de-clutter" once again. I now just consider their services a necessary part of my ability to do what I do in the job I became educated to do. As my life continues to evolve, my needs/flow will change. I think bringing in a system that works distinctly for me, is worth far more than the investment I make in bumbling through my life, otherwise.

ReCREATE SPACE WAS A LIFESAVER FOR ME
I had the good fortune of moving from my home in the country, into my gorgeous historical building, in the city. It seemed a practical use of unused space, and I don't regret it for a second.
But while the plan appeared sound, I repeatedly referred to our new home, as "the office". It had indeed been my office for so many years that I joked my kids would wind up "workaholics", without having a clue as to why? ("Hey kids, time to head back to the office", when baseball or tutoring ended?!)
I hired ReCreate Space to help with this transition and had only expected the obvious, to have some organizational help in settling into our new digs.
What happened next, was something else entirely.
ReCreate Space arrived asking questions about how I/we "lived" in our space, "office or otherwise". Seemed like a silly question to me, having assumed I lived as everyone did. It turned out, I didn't, despite the obvious exception to my office space.
ReCreate Space delivered in ways I can't quite tell you how, it changed my life. Within no time at all our house, became a home.
DECLUTTERING BEFORE THE MOVE

In 2014 I decided it was time to sell my family home after 11 years having lived in it. The problem was that I had acquired layers of my life in junk and clutter. Being a single dad with three kids in a big century home was no easy feat. My busy professional lifestyle and personal life had meant that I had not thought through how to organize my personal effects. Enter Recreate Space. They came in and calmed me down. Consulted with me about what were essential belongings and what could be given or thrown away. You know, it is human nature to want to hold on to things. My dad grew up during the Great Depression and his desire to reuse and save "stuff" had rubbed off on me. ReCreate Space gently resorted and decluttered my home - and my brain as a result. My house was now a clean, livable space where every room looked stellar and had a particular function. My house sold soon after my Recreate Space intervention.

I JUST NEEDED SOME SYSTEMS AMONGST THE CHAOS OF KIDS
Some people have a higher threshold for clutter and chaos than others. That being said, having ReCreate Space come in and suggest systems to simplify our entryway clutter has been a huge help in creating calm out of chaos. ReCreate Space provided options that were quick, easy and cost effective to implement; while at the same time identifying more permanent built-in solutions that we could plan and budget for in the future.
De-cluttering and organizing are not just physical and aesthetic tasks, they are very much based around behaviours and patterns; and admitting to being overwhelmed with clutter can be personal. ReCreate Space understands that and works with you as an individual, without any judgement. CLEARING CLUTTER & RECREATING OUR SPACE WITH WHAT WE HAVE
ReCreate Space helps to clear clutter and somehow makes use of the things you already have to recreate the space. I think I like that part most. I become overwhelmed by "stuff". She helps to purge things and drives away with it so it's just gone. And then she bops about shuffling the remaining stuff in such a way that it's awe-inspiring.
ReCreate Space does this incredible work in helping people to purge and reorganize their homes.
Everyone can use a little counselling from time to time, in one area or another when things get muddled up. It's the same with physical space and the blocks are physical things, but purging and reorganizing can bring about mobility once again.
